The main town of South Gippsland’s dairy country, Leongatha sits among green rolling hills at the foot of the Strzelecki Ranges, a working farm-service town with a growing food scene.

The Great Southern Rail Trail runs through it, and it makes a handy base for Wilsons Promontory, the coast at Inverloch and the producers dotted through the hills.
