What's On Gippsland ("we", "us") is a free guide to events across the Gippsland region. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it. We keep it deliberately simple, because we collect as little as possible.

Browsing the site

You can browse the whole site without giving us any personal information. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first: it does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It gives us aggregate figures only, such as how many people viewed a page.

When you contact us or submit an event

If you send us a message or submit an event, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address and the event information. We use these only to respond to you and to review and publish listings. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone except as needed to run the service.

The newsletter

If you join our email newsletter, we store your email address with our email provider so we can send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and we will remove your address.

Advertising

We may display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Listings link out to organiser and ticketing websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please check their own policies.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by getting in touch via our contact page. We will action reasonable requests promptly.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
